David had been running his own label, BGR Records, for a few years prior to Fudge Tunnel calling time, and ran the label for a few more years after the break up. Putting out music by like-minded noisemongers such as the Brain Police, Skink, Hillbilly Devilspeak, Tubesurfer and others, the label was gathering a small roster of quality, noisy, bands around itself. Sadly it didn't last, and most of the bands who released things through BGR are now no more, with the exception of Hillbilly Devilspeak who have released two albums Colorized (produced by Alex Newport) and Kiss the Brown Star. They have just finished recording a new album with Alex in LA - check their site for details.
After BGR, David worked in Nottingham for the CNL Agency, who promote bands like Fugazi when on tour in the UK. He gave up the day job in favour of looking after his three children full time about four years ago.
